DAY TEN- ‘Fighting!’ Pose + CHALLENGE ACCEPTED.
Today was the first non-stressful-work day I’ve had in what seems like forever! NO homework today. Classes were easy peasy and some were even enjoyable! Psych kinda sucks though because everyone has their own little group and I’m just over here doing my work like meep LOL but it’s okay. I’m surprised I’m not bothered by it as much as I expected. I’m used to being on my own now :)
I was gettin’ it in Choir today. Got my groove on in all the dances LOL yeee. Varsity rehearsals after school was good too; our treble UIL songs are really cool. I love the French one because I can pronounce all the words correctly while everyone else struggles, muahaha >:) makes me wish I’d had the chance to keep learning French.
After rehearsals, I waited with Ariana for my dad to pick me up. I finally mustered up the courage to tell my director aka Dougie that I wanted to give trying out for Chamber a shot. In class, she had called for all sopranos who were interested to audition for a spot b/c someone got kicked out. I told myself I was too busy for it blah blah but it kept bothering me at the back of my mind throughout varsity rehearsal so at last I decided, WHY EVER THE HELL NOT?!
Dougie was very welcoming and said she was glad I changed my mind about trying out. When I was warming up, my other director aka Likos-nator, was leaving and he said bye Vy, you sound good!! I love how sweet he is :3 Even though I screwed up a little on sight-reading due to nervousness, Dougie said it was one of the best sight-readings she’s heard today. Plus we usually do it as a class so of course it’d be weird to do it by yourself. Ariana was sitting on the side, cheering me on silently LOL comforting moral support <3 the Asian Pose challenge thing actually correspond with today’s events.
I’m sure some amazing sophomore All-Stater got the spot, but I mean, I just wanted to do it so I wouldn’t later regret not taking the opportunity when it presented itself. Besides, I have next year to audition too! All is good.

So I procrastinated reeeally badly on costumes for Pop Show and woke up super early (4?) to make my zombie costume. I cut up this white tee and these old pantyhose to wear with a black frilly skirt, red tank, and black heels. I think it’s pretty good for a last minute costume haha. The shoes aren’t all that zombie-ish but they’re so cute I couldn’t resist showing them off on stage lol. Um. I made the shirt dirty looking with these brown and black eyeshadows that I don’t use. Time consuming, but I did it on time :D Forgot to take a picture though..
I feel like Physics with Gillen isn’t so bad anymore. He’s not as bitter nor mean as he was last semester. Plus the annoying people got switched out yay.
Stayed after for campus cleanup, then waited for dad to pick me up. Ariana popped outta nowhere and creeped me out. That little freak. I was glad I had a companion to talk to because I had to wait for an hour.
Got home, ate, and knocked out for 5 hours. I woke up at 8-9pm ish and thought that I was horribly late for school and had a moment of panic because I hadn’t done my notes or finished reading Huck Finn. So that’s what I did until like 3am. Couldn’t sleep because of my long nap and the tea I drank so I cleaned my room and tumbled until 4ish.

Stephanie lost a bet to ghetto-wannabe dude (she went for Saints but they lost) so she had to eat lunch with giant chopsticks LOL. They were as long as her arm. Our whole table was laughing so hard at her haha and this white girl was staring at her like wtf are you doing. They made another bet for the Super Bowl. We’ll see how that goes.
Dougie finally put us in our rows for Thriller and September. I’m not on the first row anymore because she wanted to have as much seniors as possible in the front, so now I’m on the second row. There are no sopranos where I stand so it’s awkward being the only one but I can do it.

Nothing really happened today. I got to talk to McKenzie in the morning. Haven’t seen her in a while! Physics was pretty funny today haha Gillen’s cray cray. Choir buddy wasn’t here today so I didn’t have a partner for Time Warp, sadface.
Stayed for Film Club then was gonna go to Phia’s so she could help me with the Thriller zombie costume but she had last minute practice so I just walked home. Got to talk to Jolyass too! & Mommy made dumplings today, woot.

Psych & Precal tests were pretty easy. “Studied” for test in APUSH but really we were just messing around. Learned the rest of Thriller choreo.
Volunteered to help this teacher then went to varsity rehearsals til 5. Dad picked me up, went home to get laptop, then got Chick-fil-A :D eet mor chikin! Man it was yummy. Got to Phia’s and did half of the APUSH terms together. We were so tired that we turned delirious… lol this always happens to us.
Went home and still had the other half to do. I was on a roll and didn’t want to fall asleep in the middle of studying so I brewed some tea. It did its job and kept me up til like 3-4 in the morning. I also finished my chapter notes! I was proud of myself. Plus I got an A on the test so it was worth it. :)

Um.. this guy—let’s call him K—walked with me to choir today. Idk, we didn’t even talk about anything important but it was nice. I don’t think I’m attracted to him but I do think he’s interesting. I wish I wasn’t awkward and always knew what to say so I can get to know him better LOL.
Started learning choreo for Thriller and it’s pretty legit! I’m glad it’s not some bs dance. Trying to pump up my game so my director doesn’t put me in the back like the other years when I didn’t like the choreo and didn’t try.
Did campus cleanup with Phia and Kyle for NHS, then went back to her house. I hung out/messed with Lola. Love that little bitch even doh she stank. <3 Phia tried to make it up to me by making me another mix CD. I cracked lol I can never stay mad at her.

I was so sleepy all day. Slept really late because I was up having a talk with Brit. I think we both kinda needed it though.
Major writer’s block for English TAKS essay. I hate those prompts…
We learned choreo for Time Warp. I still don’t really like that song. Saw the music video and it was so weird…
Stayed after for Key Club volunteer thing then went to English to work on TAKS essay. Still didn’t finish -_- I sneaked a picture of my draft so I could work on it at home lol

DAY NINE- “Louder” Pose
Texas State Chorale came to my school during Choir and performed for us. It was honestly such an awesome experience. They sang a lot of different types of songs but I’ll just write about the ones that stood out the most. They sang this one South African song that I thought was so super duper cute. There was an African drum beat and a shaker thingy too so it sounded really tribal-y. I wanted to get up and dance and hug everyone in the room. It’s one of those feel-good songs that makes you wanna love everyone around you, you know? LOL. Then they sang a song called “Give Me Your Eyes” which is a song about everyone coming together to help the less fortunate. They were standing all around us and that added to the effect. After that they invited us onto the risers to sing Ballade to the Moon. Oh my goodness it was so beautiful :’) As someone else in class said, “I was beyond moved by the incredible music today. There was such passion and emotion behind what they were singing, I couldn’t help but connect to it. It is amazing how much music and art can effect a person.“ Afterwards we had some time to mingle, and this lady I was talking to said you can take choir in college even if you’re not majoring in Music. I may consider that… we’ll see.
Then at night I went to get dumplings and I was surprised to see this guy from choir working there LOL. He saw me and he waved and said hi. I thought it was kinda cute since we never really talk in choir. But yeah the order took a while. I was so hungry I devoured dat shiz on the way to Grace’s and spilled dumpling sauce on my shirt. Smooth. Brit, Grace, and I helped put together the entertainment program scouts are setting up. Then we did research on Vietnamese New Years and found songs for the fashion show. We had a good time but I think we were all really tired lol

I didn’t sleep much the night before, so I just wanted to sleep all day today. Umm I also signed up for Driver’s Ed. Finally. Class starts February 13th.
In NHS, my friend Ariana who’s a senior randomly told me, “oh my gosh Vy I’m gonna miss you so much when I graduate ):” and then proceeded pull me into a hug. It was so out of the blue that it made my day. Man I’m gonna miss her crazy black self <3
In Varsity choir rehearsal the girl that stands next to me.. oh my lord. If you’re not even gonna attempt to sing the whole entire 1.75 hours of rehearsal then um. Excuse me, I don’t mean to be rude, but what the fuck are you doing in choir? I’ve noticed you don’t sing in class either… I mean sure I’d understand if you were sick or something but I see you over there texting, doing stupid shit, and laughing your ass off but when it’s time to rehearse I can’t even hear a note come out of your mouth. lol and you wonder why you can’t sing by yourself in front of the director… it’s because you don’t even sing when there are 70 other people singing with you. AND you claim that you love choir. How can you, when you don’t even contribute? wtf? LOL

DAY EIGHT- Pleading Pose
lol what is this. I don’t really know how to make fun of that pose so…
Today was normal, just a regular Hump Day. That’s Wednesday, the middle of the week, you freak. Get your mind out of the gutter.
Yeah and I need to find a cute jar to put all these memory notes in soon!
